Overview

I have created a computer science course with the end goal that students will be able to code and re-create an escape room. I have used gitbook to create my class notes and instructions for students and thimble is my main programming platform. I will also warn that I have experienced some rare problems in thimble with student's project disappearing. I do not know if this is an internet connectivity issue, hardware or an issue with the mozilla platform. I would forewarn students to always keep a copy of their code on google docs just in case.

Getting Started with Thimble

Thimble I would describe as google docs for programmers. Sign up for an account, it is fairly easy to navigate and use. Make sure you are logged in!

Step 1)

go to thimble.mozilla.org, click Create an account![](/assets/one.png)

Step 2)

Create your login and password

Step 3)

Remix my template containing the p5js setup

When you click on Your Projects you will be able to access any of your project files
